Contactgel results in a reduction of the sensitivity at the client and for a longer life of the lamp due to the high viscosity and the vacuum technology used during the production. The best way to use contactgel is cold. The contactgel should be spread in a thin layer (2mm a 3mm thick) all over the area of treatment. The conduction (heat transfer) of contactgel (water) is about 30 times higher in comparison with that of air. The contactgel also fills up uneven skin surface where air can be in. Guiding light by air gives approximately 20% less heat. Some properties:
